Kellie M. Martin, a native of the United States is an American actor and actress in the film and television industries. Her most well-known role is for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. Her other roles of note include the lead role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and an elementary school teacher. The actress began her acting career as a child at the age of seven. her aunt, the nanny of Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as an actor on the television show Father Murphy. Martin began her professional acting career when she graduated from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television and film industry. Martin has also been a photographer and a dancer. Being a mom to two kids, she's become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about the disease since her younger sister passed away due to the disease at 19.
